Can the English Language Survive President Bush?
Anyone who has had to speak in front of a large audience and had their mind suddenly go blank, will have some sympathy. We all say stupid things. I don’t even know for sure if these are all accurate. (They were sent to me via e-mail .)but I know at least some of them are accurate because I saw clips. There have been times when I have seen him in an interview and watched him say some totally weird jibberish and thought to myself “How can that interviewer sit there with a strait face?” I still don’t get it. Does the nation have an inferiority complex so we want the C student to be president so we can feel better?
Regardless, I had to reprint these here because they are so funny. Take it with a grain of salt and enjoy! Feel free to send me more but tell me where they came from. Thanks! (Hey feel free to send some stupid Democratic statements in too. We can change the page to “Brain Fa@#ts” Send them to jeanner@shentel.net.

Here is a poem I received via e-mail:
The 23rd Qualm (Written by a retired Methodist minister. )
Bush is my shepherd; I dwell in want.
He maketh logs to be cut down in national forests.
He leadeth trucks into the still wilderness.
He restoreth my fears.
He leadeth me in the paths of international disgrace for his ego's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of pollution and war, I will find no exit, for thou art in office.
Thy tax cuts for the rich and thy media control, they discomfort me.
Thou preparest an agenda of deception in the presence of thy religion.
Thou anointest my head with foreign oil.
My health insurance runneth out.
Surely megalomania and false patriotism shall follow me all
the days of thy term, and my jobless child shall dwell in my basement forever
Amen
