On day 4 everyone went to Silver City which is a huge amusement park. This is Cody, Me, and Mr. Haynes before heading to the park. Brent got some great footage of Mr. Haynes and Cody riding one of the rides. I went back to the hotel early and did not get any pictures. That night Mr. Haynes and Keith went to see the Andy Williams’ show and I went to dinner with the crew (and Cody) and then partied with them until pretty late that night. It was very fun. Let me tell you a little about this talented group of people.
First is Brent. At 34 years old, he is already an accomplished filmmaker. His documentary, The End of the Road,
showed his insight and talent. I have no problem trusting him to make a good documentary about our trip. He is also a good interviewer. I told him all sorts of stuff on camera that I should not have! Ooops! I would not have told him anything good if he had not been so good at what he does. I believe he said his favorite movie is The Big Labowski. Hum...
Brian at Work Brian is only 24 years old and has already made a feature film! He and his partner are editing it now. I spent a lot of time with Brian as he was often assigned to filming Mr. Haynes and me. He is a little crazy and gets car sick and is really talented too.
Jessica and Brent, Friday Night Jessica is Brent’s girlfriend. She works at a yoga studio and also makes handbags. I think soon she will launch her handbag empire so watch out. She was there as a support person. Brent and Brian were filming all day and well into the night. Jessica and Tara kept things going behind the scenes. They made sure everyone who was filmed, signed a release and all sorts of other things that I don’t know about. TaraI think Tara is destined to be a star. She does web design and the like but also has a stage background. She is something else. One interesting fact about her is that she has a birthday whenever she goes to a new restaurant. Brent obligingly arranged for a “surprise” birthday celebration at the Lone Star restaurant where we ate on Friday night. (That ice cream was very tasty.) Tara is also very beautiful but watch out guys, she has a boyfriend.
Cody
Cody is a great guy. He is a little “touched” and at times does some strange things but I really like him. I also really embraced his idea of riding the open road and selling tee-shirts and adventure just for adventure’s sake. As a matter of Fact.....
