Gratitude and Prosperity
Have you been listening to the news lately? Gloom and doom...gloom and doom. You can’t get away from it. People have lost half their savings, their jobs, and in some cases their hope. However, all this wallowing ... and outrage ... and digging in just isn’t the way to go for financial success.
We all need to snap out of it! Stop wallowing and contributing to the negative energy which is permeating this country and the world. You’re just making things worse.
Prosperity starts in the mind and we need to work collectively to change our minds. I know it’s hard but believe me it works. It really does. And if you can’t believe it, then ask yourself this: Has worrying and groaning helped you ... or anyone? Has outrage helped you ... or anyone? If not then decide right now that you’re going to be a beacon of optimism and hope.
Host a prosperity circle. Invite some positive friends over and concentrate on putting some positive vibrations back into the atmosphere. I recently hosted a successful prosperity circle with some high minded friends. Here’s how it went: We gathered in a circle around a table with several candles and incense arranged artistically in the center.
- I lit the incense made a statement of gratitude for all the blessings of my life. And each person followed.
- Then I lit a candle as I shared my vision of prosperity for myself and my community and the world.
- Each person followed, lighting a candle and sharing their prosperity vision.
- My friend read a poem about prosperity ..
- We thanked the universe for bringing prosperity and peace into our lives and then we ate.
It was a lovely evening and made everyone who participated feel great. Try it and let me know how it goes. We plan to gather regularly and continue putting our prosperous vision out into the world. We think it is powerful and works. I can already feel a change. Try it a see.

Can You Make Money on the Internet without a Product?
I have had this web-site for many years. I used to sell Lampshades and Tee-shirts on this site. I still have a small Tee-shirt business on www.shenandoahservices.net but I would rather concentrate on my writing during the time I am not with clients.
Can I afford to do that? Until recently I did not think I could. That is why my sites need so much work. I felt I could not afford the time to do the research and design to make them awesome. I had to make a living. But I love to research and write and there are many subjects I want to find out more about. How can I make a living and spend time doing the things I want to do at the same time? This summer I have paired down my expenses (canceled cable and other revolutionary anti-spending measures) so that I could invest some time into learning how to make money on-line and write a book. My book, Stress and the Single Mom will hopefully make me some money and I want my web-sites to make me money too. (Since first writing this article, I have temporarily abandoned the idea of writing Stress and the Single Mom but still operate the web-site.) Until now my focus has been on selling my services or products. That has not been too successful because my heart is not in it. I like to do a little design and I like to make lampshades but don’t want to do it exclusively. So how can I make money with my web-sites without havng to produce lampshades and tee-shirts? I think I am finally getting it. When I was at the Million Dollar Author Program in Atlanta, one of the speakers was a guy named Jim Edwards. This guy went from living in a trailer to making big bucks in various ways on the internet with his writing. I was intrigued by Jim as he sounded a little like me. And I have already learned a whole lot from him. (Boy have I been doing it wrong!) Anyway, I wanted to know more and my research led me to the “Affiliate Business Blueprint” which is an e-book/audio download done by Jim and a very successful internet affiliate marketer named Rosalind Gardener. I knew Jim to be reputable so I purchased this product. I really think that it could be another one of those actions that ends up changing my life forever. I am going to be implementing their advice starting with my new web-site

Adsense
Notice all the google ads on my web-site? Those are adsense ads. I currently make about $50 a month with adsense ads. That might not sound like a lot but for the amount of time I put in, it is not bad. Plus it pays my fees and my revenue grows as I add more pages. The plus side about adsence is that it is so easy. You do not have to decide which ads to put where. It decides based on the content on the page. That allows you to concentrate on having great content instead of spending hours searching for the right affiliate program. But... Don’t quit your day job.
I do know people who make $1000 a month plus from google but it takes time and patience. II recently bought an e-book on Adsense and am giving it a try. I will give an in depth review later but so far, I am impressed.
