Home >> On the Bus >> Going Home The End of the Road...The last day was rather anti-climatic. Mr. Haynes had made reservations the day before for us to leave from Springfield, MO in the morning. He had an important property meeting on Sunday.
We had to leave the hotel by 8 a.m. to make our flight. Brent showed up with his camera and road with us to the airport. Everyone else was still asleep after the late night the night before. Brent said that sometime during the night, Cody had driven away and his bus was gone when Brent woke up... We were all tired and a little down. Our adventure was over before it had really begun. Then as we are headed down the highway towards the airport, I look out the window and see... A big Green Hippie Bus parked by the side of the road. I wave goodbye but nobody sees me wave. Cody sleeps ... dreaming of his next big Hippie Vacation and the adventures yet to come! It is the end of the road for the millionaire and the hippie but maybe just the beginning for the rest of us....
